Directions via LDP or SVKE

Most of you will be using the North South Express Way. As you exit, you will find yourselves on the North Klang Valley Express (NKVE). Follow that until you see signs to Putrajaya/KLIA. The road signs will guide you from there.

Approaching Putrajaya:
(1) As you near Putrajaya using the LDP (Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong) or the SKVE (South Klang Valley Express), you will pass a flyover with 16 Sierra on your right and Seri Kembangan on the left.
(2) Immediately after this flyover, keep left and turn right towards Kajang/Johor Bahru and find yourself on the SILK Highway.
(3) In less than 5 minutes after the last turn,  turn left into Putrajaya. You will pass a Shell Station and MARDI on the left. The signage to Putrajaya will show "Presint 1-4, 13".
(4) You will pass Taman Wetlands on your right - keep out for the sign/entrance! You cannot access it directly, therefore..
(5) You will need to make a BIG U-turn around the biggest roundabout in Malaysia and head up the road back to Taman Wetlands
(6) Turn at Taman Wetlands, instead of the Taman Rekreasi Wetlands - remember to look out for the entrance earlier. Be sure.

Directions via Maju Expressway (MEX)

For some of you who will be using the Seremban Highway or end up along the Istana road, after passing the Singai Besi Highway, there is the fast option of taking the Maju Expressway.
(1) As you come to the end of the MEX and exit the toll, keep left and veer left
(2) Continue straight until you see the Putrajaya skyline. After the Hospital on the left, turn left. Drive along Lebuh Sentosa
(3) Go up the second flyover. You would see brown signs in Taman Wetlands. Up the ramp and turn right.
(4) You will reach a one-way roundabout. Enter the roundabout
(5) and take the first exit to the left
(6) Turn at Taman Wetlands, instead of the Taman Rekreasi Wetlands

DO NOT be confused by the other Wetlands called Paya Indah Wetlands. That one is totally different (has crocodiles in it).

Our Deepest Condolence to our Dedicated Champions ...

It is with great sadness to inform you that Reverend Francis Lim Kee Bin, BBM National Chaplain & Mr Chang Siau Ham, the Captain of the 4th Johor Bahru Company, passed away on 14th & 23rd June 2011 respectively.
Reverend Francis Lim Kee Bin was a pastor of the Chinese Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Malaysia who actively promoted the BB work among the Chinese churches during his service as the National Chaplain in-charge of Chinese Speaking Companies. He was an inspiring, calm and prayerful man whose whords were profound and insightful for the National Exco during his time. We pray for the comfort and closure to his family for his passing.
Mr Ham (as he preferred to be called Ham rather than his surname), joined BB in 2008 without prior knowledge nor experience. Even so, he was able to lead 4th JB to greater heights and was well respected by his members. He was a humble and soft spoken person. During the recent BBM elections, Mr Ham was a nominee for the position of Brigade Vice-President, raking up 31 votes.
Both Rev Lim & Captain Ham will be deeply missed by their family and fellow BB members. Let us remember them for their great dedication and service to God and the BB ministry. For now, please pray for their family that they will be able to pull through in such difficult times.

Wesley Methodist School's Sports Day on 9th April 2011

Reported by Ong Wil Sern

After taking attendance from teachers bb members gather in an area beside the spectators stand. The stadium was crowded, we took some time to gather at the side of the stadium. Captain Koh attended to us. He falled us in and checked our uniform parts. A few moments later, Captain falled us out and we falled back in on the starting point before the opening of the sports day parade. The other uniform groups and sports house marching team looked like they’re professionals, this lowered down our morale.

When the music started, we went in from rehat diri position to sedia and when it was our turn, we started to march. When we were marching, some did well and some did badly. Friends cheered for us as we marched, although the squad seemed really messy. When we marched until the grand stand, we saluted.

When Jason gave the command for ‘hormat ke kanan’, members saluted at different times, but still looked ok. After marching for another round, we stopped and listened to speeches. After listening, we turned around and marched back to the spectators stand, and I knew that we flunked our chances of winning the prize of best marching team.

Later, we falled in again in the back entrance and Sir Nicholas asked us some questions, however, some people were missing. We found them after a while, but Sachi was not to be found. Sir Nicholas not only asked us some questions but also reminded us that we don’t have a meeting next week. After that, we falled out and went to do our own things. While walking up, people said “Hey look, police!” while pointing at us. We had a good laugh. We also noticed that Captain Koh was also one of the price-givers. Later, we bb members also ate together using the free lunch coupon given.
